UM Inspections, LLC (UMI) located in Fort Worth Texas, is a surveying and inspection company, for infrastructure, property, right of ways and environmental projects.
Our company focus is on providing superior low altitude aerial imaging services, including data collection, reporting, and modeling via Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) to companies in the Energy, Surveying, and Utility sectors, as well as to Government agencies. We provide inspection and integrity services via UAS in order to take dangerous tasks and turn them into safe, data collecting missions. Identification and visualization of damage or leaks can be done efficiently and effectively without personnel being exposed to the hazards.
UMI will be operating at a fraction of the cost of its traditional aerial or ground-based competitors due to its mobility, equipment costs, and zero fossil fuel consumption. Our UAS fleet is battery-powered, enabling us to provide green solutions in an industry that has never had a low carbon footprint. Current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations allow radio-controlled vehicles to be flown by civilians for commercial purposes under 400′ and in visual line of site (VLOS). Waivers are available for beyond VLOS (BVLOS) by application to the FAA. Using a UAS at such low altitudes gives UMI the ability to create unique high-resolution oblique angle shots with mobility and real-time imagery never before achievable by previous industry methods.
UMI turns everything into a data point that can be monitored. Based on the needs of the customer and the regulations that govern the asset, the data points that need to be monitored will be tailored to purpose, and those data points that do not need to be monitored will be ignored. Data can be analyzed through traditional and deep learning processing of each mission and cataloged for reference.
